Unwanted body hair is a common concern, and while shaving, waxing, and threading provide temporary solutions, laser hair removal offers a longer-lasting alternative. At Vitaluxe Medispa & Clinic, our state-of-the-art laser technology safely targets hair follicles for smoother, hair-free skin. But how exactly does it work?
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive procedure that uses concentrated beams of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair. The light is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair, which converts to heat and damages the hair follicle. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
| STEP | PROCESS |
| (1) Preparation | Area is cleaned; shaved if needed |
| (2) Laser Pulse | Targeted laser light is directed at follicles |
| (3) Absorption | Melanin absorbs light, converts to heat |
| (4) Damage | Hair follicle is damaged to prevent regrowth |
| (5) Aftercare | Skin may appear red or slightly swollen |
Note: Some laser machines work best on dark hair and lighter skin tones, but newer lasers (like those used at Vitaluxe) are effective on all skin types (Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI).
Hair grows in three phases:
Laser treatments are most effective during the Anagen phase, which is why multiple sessions are necessary to catch all hairs in this stage.
Clients often describe the sensation as a "rubber band snap"—quick and tolerable. Our lasers have built-in cooling to minimize discomfort.
Most people need 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, for optimal results.
| Area | Approx. Sessions |
| Face | 6–8 |
| Underarms | 6–8 |
| Bikini | 6–8 |
| Legs | 6–10 |
Laser hair removal is an investment in confidence, convenience, and comfort. With the right technology and aftercare, it offers long-lasting, silky-smooth results.
